Holocaust survivor Werner Reich met recently with students at West Islip High School, where he spoke of the historical aspect of the Holocaust and compared it to today’s issues.
Those issues — which stem from intolerance and negatively impact countless people on daily basis — include bullying and the misuse of social media, among other challenges.
Reich is no stranger to West Islip High; he’s been sharing his message with students there for the last 12 years.
Social studies teacher Noreen Matthews recently arranged the assembly program.
