Irish Day is coming to downtown Bay Shore on Saturday, Sept. 18

|

After two years without a Bay Shore St. Patrick’s Day Parade “for obvious reasons,’ the local restaurants are marking 6 months until the 2022 parade with an “Irish Day by the Bay” fest in the downtown.

It all goes down Sept. 18 with live music and drink specials starting at noon and running until 8 p.m. at seven Main Street restaurants as of press time. (Other locations might be added. Check here for updates.)

“We wanted to get back into that Irish spirit by celebrating that we are half-way to our next parade,” said Michael McElwee, of the restaurant group. “So many people connect and see one another at the Bay Shore parade and we wanted to give people a way to reconnect, though on a smaller scale.”
