Island Empanada adds fourth location in Deer Park

|

The fast-growing Island Empanada has officially swung its doors open in Deer Park.

The location, which shares the same space as Toxic Wings at 1912 Deer Park Avenue, has been in the works for over a year.

The empanada eatery opened this week in the former space that housed Lorenzo’s Pizza.

This Island Empanada will be run by franchisee and serial entrepreneur Scott Rosenberg.

“He is a really experienced business owner,” said Roy Pelaez, the company’s founder. “He owns other franchises like Nathan’s Hotdogs, Ralph’s Italian Ices, SoBol, and Atomic Wings.”

In addition to Deer Park, there are other locations in Medford, Ronkonkoma, recently opened Rocky Point, and more on the way.
