The New York Islanders are celebrating their surprise No. 1 overall draft pick in style — with a NHL Draft Party at UBS Arena.
And there’s still time to join the fun.
Tickets are just $5 and include a complimentary Islanders foam finger for every fan in attendance. All proceeds will benefit the Islanders Children’s Foundation.
The party takes place Thursday, June 27, at the team’s home in Belmont Park and will feature appearances from both current and former Islanders. The guest list — so far — includes Butch Goring, John Tonelli, Shawn Bates, Eric Cairns, Steve Webb, Benoit Hogue, Ryan Pulock, Casey Cizikas, JG Pageau, and Scott Mayfield.
The event will include a live broadcast of the 2025 NHL Draft, which is being held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The first overall pick is expected to be announced around 7 p.m.
What to expect
Fans can enjoy a full lineup of family-friendly activities throughout the arena, including a trading card photo station, inflatable obstacle courses, interactive games, and the return of the popular indoor Ferris Wheel.
The Isles Lab Team Store will also debut its brand-new Draft Collection, and all concessions inside UBS Arena will be 50% off during the event.
The tailgate
The festivities begin early outside at The Park at UBS Arena, presented by Northwell. Gates open at 3 p.m. for ticketed guests to enjoy tailgating and outdoor games before the draft officially gets underway.

Parking is free for anyone who buys tickets by June 26. Parking passes will be automatically loaded into Islanders Ticketmaster accounts either June 20 or the morning of the event.
