Sure, it’s raining — again. But someone’s betting on starry nights this summer.
The Town of Islip is bringing back its beloved Summer Fun series with a full slate of free movies and concerts in the park throughout the summer.
Families can enjoy outdoor movie nights beginning June 30, with the likes of “Moana 2,” “Inside Out 2,” and “The Wild Robot” lighting up local parks. Movies start at dark, and gates open at 6:30 p.m. Non-perishable food donations will be accepted.
The Concerts in the Park series also kicks off in June, featuring live performances from local acts and tribute bands. Concerts begin at 7 p.m., with food trucks on-site starting at 5 p.m. The series is sponsored by Catholic Health’s Good Samaritan University Hospital.
