There’s a new spot in Port Washington where you can sip a smoky cocktail, snap a selfie by the koi pond and dig into rock shrimp tempura — all while soaking in the peaceful vibes of a modern Asian fusion oasis.
Jade Eatery & Lounge officially opened its third location last week, May 7, bringing its signature blend of serene design, flavorful dishes and warm hospitality to Long Island’s North Shore at 1029 Port Washington Blvd.
“My dad always liked this location,” said Aryan Kumar, 21, who’s managing the Port Washington branch. “There’s a lot of good people, good vibes, and he thought Port Washington needed something like this.
“They don’t have anything like this with the koi fish pond and the Buddha.”
How it happened

The Jade Eatery brand has deep roots, dating back nearly a century, though it was reimagined by entrepreneur Arun Kumar during the pandemic.
The flagship location in Forest Hills became a local staple, eventually expanding to Hicksville in 2023. That spot is now run by Aryan’s brother, Karan Kumar, fulfilling their father’s dream of building a family-run restaurant group.
Now it’s Aryan’s turn, as Arun handed him the keys to the Port Washington location.
“I’m most excited about meeting new people and building something special here,” Aryan said.
Long-term, he hinted there’s more expansion on the horizon — maybe even Times Square.
If you go

Jade Eatery in Port Washington offers a calm, stylish dining space with scenic décor and an indoor koi pond that makes the experience as visually satisfying as it is flavorful.
Menu standouts include Thai drunken noodles, Indian-style chicken wings, chilli garlic fried rice and their wildly popular rock shrimp tempura. Aryan recommends pairing any of them with their signature smoky cocktail for the full experience.
Guests can expect friendly service, cozy seating, and a great backdrop for photos — plus the kind of atmosphere that encourages you to linger just a little longer.
“We want to stay here for as long as we can,” Aryan said.
