Singer-songwriter James Taylor will return to Northwell at Jones Beach Theater this summer, giving Long Islanders another chance to hear the songs that have followed generations “Long Ago and Far Away.”
Taylor, 77, a six-time Grammy Award winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, will take the stage near the ocean on June 23, a Tuesday night. He last performed at Jones Beach in 2024.
Praised for classics like “Fire and Rain,” “Sweet Baby James,” and “You’ve Got a Friend, Taylor’s music is marked by introspective lyrics and warm melodies. He’s been a fixture in American popular music for over a half-century, offering moments that feel simultaneously personal and universal.
JT’s 29-date U.S. tour kicks off April 26 in California and travels across the country before wrapping in late September. Taylor will perform with his All-Star Band, mixing fan favorites with deeper cuts from his catalog.
Tickets for the Jones Beach show go on sale to the public Friday at 10 a.m. A presale will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday at ticketmaster.com.
