Award-winning actor Jeremy Allen White quietly spent part of the holiday week on Long Island, enjoying family time — and a visit to an outdoor ice rink in Port Jefferson.
Tom Palamara, owner of The Rinx, confirmed to Greater Long Island that White skated at the seasonal outdoor rink last Monday while staying in Bellport Village with his family.
According to Palamara, White was visiting the area with his mother and two daughters and searched for nearby ice rinks during his stay.
“He was staying in Bellport Village with his family and said he looked up a few ice rinks, and ours looked the nicest, so he made the drive to check it out with his kids,” Palamara told GLI. “He was actually a good skater.”
Palamara said White — best known for his roles in the award-winning series “Shameless” and “The Bear,” as well as his portrayal of Bruce Springsteen in a new biopic — kept a low profile during the visit.
“He was very kind and let me take a pic for our Instagram,” Palamara said. “I told him we were a small family business and appreciated him coming to check us out. He said no problem on the pic and took it right before he left. He was super nice.”
