Leasing has finally begun at The Wel, the $103 million, 260-unit apartment complex that has risen in the heart of downtown Lindenhurst.
Now eager, would-be residents can apply to be Wel dwellers.
“It has been an incredible experience to watch the transformation of Lindenhurst’s downtown and we can not wait to welcome all of our new residents to this amazing community.” said Phil Chiovitti, The Wel’s community manager.
People can apply online or schedule an appointment at the complex. The hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
Apartment pricing at the luxury complex has also been much-anticipated. That pricing is now live on The Wel’s website. Pricing starts at $2,100 a month and goes up to $4,685 for a three-bedroom penthouse.

The Wel is expected to open this summer to residents, with the earliest anticipated move-in date being June 30.
All of the amenities, such as the gym, pool, and rooftop deck, will be open and available as well.
“Having worked on this project from inception, I am excited not just to show off amenities like the pool and fitness center, but also pieces of history like the boiler doors from the old Lakewood Pace building in our lobby,” Chiovitti said.
“We feel like we will offer a glimpse into Lindenhurst’s history while helping to serve as a catalyst for what Lindenhurst is evolving into.”
Since it is still an active construction site at Hoffman and Pennsylvania avenues, tours must be pre-scheduled. There is a model unit currently being furnished for prospective residents.
There are also 26 units set aside for workforce housing discounts, though those matters must be discussed in-person with a leasing agent under Fair Housing laws.
