Lily Flanagan’s Pub continues the tradition of running one of the largest St. Baldrick’s events on Long Island.
Earlier this week, it was announced the Babylon Village pub raised $91,751 on its St. Baldrick’s Day Sunday, March 31. Last year, the fundraiser generated $91,660.
“We didn’t quite reach our goal of $100,000, but we raised $91,751 for 2019’s fundraiser,” said Lily Flanagan’s general manager, Lauren Crowe. “We were a bit bummed at first, then sat back and realized we just raised over $91,000 two years in a row for childhood cancers—it’s amazing.”
The money is raised through donations from the hair-chopping portion of the day, as well as during a Chinese auction.
