A Massapequa woman faces a drunk driving charge in a DWI wreck that killed a motorcyclist in Lindenhurst early Wednesday, police said.
Carlos Henao, 33, of Massapequa was riding a 2019 Harley-Davidson west on Montauk Highway about 1:42 a.m. when he tried to pass two vehicles that had moved into the right lane, police said.
The motorcycle hit the rear of a 2019 Dodge Ram and a 2023 Honda CR-V, throwing Henao from the bike, according to authorities. He died at the scene.
The Honda driver, Brieonna McGinn, 28, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, police said. She is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Suffolk First District Court in Central Islip.
All three vehicles were impounded for a safety check, cops said.
Detectives from Suffolk Police’s Major Case Unit are investigating the crash and ask anyone with information to call 631.852.6555. All calls will be kept confidential.
