A new musical event is heading to Babylon Village’s gazebo at Argyle Park next month.
On Saturday, Aug.10, the Babylon Beautification Society will be hosting its first-ever Gazebo-Palooza— a night filled with live music, beer and wine, and snacks.
The free-to-enter outing will run from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with performances by the Gallagher Brothers Band. Beer and wine will cost $5 per drink. Also, The Local will be selling burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches, while Kilwins will be offering ice cream.
“It will be a great night to just come down listen to some great music and hang out,” said Frank Petruzzo, of the Babylon Beautification Society (BBS).
But make sure to bring a lawn chair or a blanket, Petruzzo reminded GreaterBabylon.
All the money raised from the family-friendly party will go toward helping the nonprofit’s Babylon railroad area beautification project.
Last year, the BBS planted over a dozen trees by the train station, and now have plans to upgrade a loitering haven plot of land across from The Local, on the corner of Railroad Avenue and Depot Place.
