Planned for later this month at 13 Eastport Manor Road
A new restaurant is preparing to open its doors in Eastport, offering residents a fresh dining option that owner Dana McCall hopes will become a go-to destination for everything from date nights to weekend brunch.
Lola’s, a new concept from McCall (pictured, inset) and her team behind Hamptons Catered Affairs, Long Island Lobster Bake and The Kitchen at Sportime in Quogue, has been more than a year-and-a-half in the making.
The restaurant was completely renovated from the ground up, transforming the space into what McCall describes as a stylish, welcoming neighborhood gathering place.
“We’re local to the area, and we built this concept for ourselves,” McCall said. “Living in Center Moriches, we always found ourselves driving to Patchogue or the Hamptons when we wanted a nice dinner out. We felt like this area needed a place to go that’s close to home.”
The result is a restaurant designed to fill that gap, offering an atmosphere suited for everything from casual dinners and girls’ nights out to special occasions.
“People are so excited for it to come,” McCall said. “We really wanted to give the community something that we felt was missing.”
McCall said they plan on opening later this month at 13 Eastport Manor Road.
The menu will focus on elevated modern comfort food, featuring a mix of seafood, homemade pastas, small plates and seasonal offerings. Weekend brunch will include favorites like bottomless mimosas.
McCall said the restaurant’s culinary philosophy centers on fresh ingredients and local sourcing.
“We hired a great chef who makes homemade breads and pastas,” she said. “He’s very ingredient-conscious. We work with local fishermen and source vegetables from farms out east. You’re not going to see big trucks pulling up with frozen food.”
The restaurant’s interior reflects the same thoughtful approach. Guests can expect a sophisticated aesthetic featuring dark green tones, black accents and floral elements throughout the space.
“It’s dark, sexy and feminine,” McCall said. “We really put a lot into every detail.”
The restaurant’s name also carries personal significance.
With four children, McCall said there were plenty of opinions during the naming process. Ultimately, the family chose to honor Lola, their beloved dog who passed away several years ago.
“She was there through all the kids growing up,” McCall said. “The name just felt right.”
The opening comes during a busy period for McCall and her team, who recently launched The Kitchen at Sportime, a café concept open to the public that serves breakfast, lunch and coffee.
Still, Lola’s represents something especially meaningful.
“We’re giving the area something we were craving ourselves,” McCall said. “Good drinks, good food and good company. That’s really what it’s all about.”
