A group of 28 co-workers — 26 of them from Long Island — have collected a $1 million second-prize Powerball win, in the Powerball drawing held December 17, 2025, according to the New York Lottery.
The group, made up of residents from Nassau and Suffolk counties, together with one co-worker from Queens and another from Pennsylvania, claimed the prize this week.
Each winner opted for a one-time lump sum payment, receiving between $21,866 and $23,250 after required withholdings.
The winning ticket was purchased at GNP Priyal, located at 201 Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont. The numbers drawn that evening were 25, 33, 53, 62, 66, with Power Ball 17.
