Long Island man wins $1 million playing lottery scratch-off

|

A Deer Park man has claimed a $1 million prize on the New York Lottery’s Millionaire Maker scratch-off game, lottery officials said today.

Tarig Osman chose to receive his prize as a single, lump sum payment of $651,000 after required withholdings. He purchased his winning ticket at Jai Maharaj, located at 474 Grand Blvd. in Deer Park.

The location has seen a lucky lottery winner before. Back in November 2021, the establishment sold a Take 5 Evening drawing with a prize of over $20,500.

Osman was one of four big lottery winners announced by New York Lottery on Tuesday.

A Mount Vernon woman claimed a $3 million top prize on the Triple Jackpot 777 scratch-off game, while a Jackson Heights woman and a Mamaroneck man each claimed a $1 million Powerball second prize.
