$1 million Powerball wins hit Lindenhurst and Valley Stream

Holiday luck was in the air for two Long Island lottery players this week, as stores in Lindenhurst and Valley Stream each sold Powerball tickets worth $1 million.

A second-prize-winning ticket for the Christmas Eve drawing was sold at Montauk Highway Gas Corp, 571 West Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday night drawing were 04, 25, 31, 52 and 59; the red Power Ball drawn was 19.

Earlier in the week, a second-prize ticket for the Monday drawing was sold at Gurucharan and Brothers, 100 West Merrick Road in Valley Stream. The winning numbers in that drawing were 3, 18, 36, 41 and 54; the Power Ball was 7.

Powerball draws five numbers from a pool of 1 to 69, plus a separate red Power Ball from 1 to 26. Drawings are televised each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
