Now here’s a Long Island eatery that believes in its product.
And its mission: make healthy food tasty again.
Bango, which now counts eight locations on Long Island and Westchester, has just announced that all customers will get 50 percent off their first order throughout the entire month of January, just in time for New Year’s resolutions.
Typically those resolutions involve a healthier lifestyle.
Bango wants to help.
“Eating better should never feel like an unattainable goal,” said Ryan Thorman, CEO of Bango. “We wanted to make it an easier choice for people who may not have heard of Bango or assumed our food was either expensive or bland. This January, we’re showing everyone that healthy eating can be enjoyable, affordable, and fulfilling.”
The offer is designed to encourage new customers to try Bango’s diverse menu, which features items like salads, acai bowls, smoothies, poke bowls, and hearty grain bowls. Each dish is crafted to combine bold flavors with nutritional benefits, challenging the misconception that healthy food is either unappetizing or overpriced, Thorman said.
“There’s a stigma that healthy food either costs too much or lacks flavor,” he added. “We’re here to prove that it doesn’t have to be that way.”
That 50 percent discount is to help break down the barrier of entry, the Bango team says.
“We know people want to eat better,” Thorman continued. “They want food that fuels their bodies and fits into a healthier lifestyle, but cost and misconceptions about flavor often stand in the way.”

How it works
New customers can enjoy 50 percent their first order when they order either online or in-store.
When guests order online or through the Bango app, they are automatically signed up for the loyalty program and will instantly receive the half-off offer in their wallet as a signup bonus on their account, or when they go to the checkout page.
There is no promo code needed; the offer will automatically show up as “50% Off First Order” and you can choose to apply it to your first order.
When the guest orders in-store and mentions the promotion at the register, the Bango team will be prompted to sign the guest up for the loyalty program and will automatically receive the 50 percent off first order discount as a signup bonus.
