Long Island is going nuts for doughnuts. And GLI is all about it. So it was quite the easy task to seek out a bunch in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Scroll down to see eight great spots.


Sundae Donuts

  • 716 Montauk Hwy Suite 5, Montauk

Owned by Michelle Ferraro Tadross, Sundae Donuts originated in Montauk with a concept of allowing customers to create their own unique treats from a variety of toppings. They’re also known for their extravagant milkshakes served with a doughnut on top. If you’re a Mets or Islanders fan, you might recognize the brand, as these doughnuts are served at Citi Field and UBS Arena.


North Fork Doughnut Company

  • 100 Love Lane, Mattituck
  • 5 E. Main Street, Bay Shore
  • 100 Park Blvd., Massapequa Park

North Fork Doughnut Company, owned by husband-and-wife team Jimmy Lyons and Kelly Briguccia, serves up fresh, handmade delights daily with a wide menu. Having first opened in Mattituck in 2018, they later expanded to Bay Shore in 2020, and in 2023, they acquired the former Once Bitten Donuts location in Massapequa Park.


House of Donuts

  •  95 Broadway Suite B, Hicksville

Since the early 1970s, House of Donuts in Hicksville has been delighting customers with traditional recipes and fan favorites, such as Red Velvet and Jelly, under the sole ownership of Nick Kefalas. Not only do they dish delicious doughnuts, the shop also serve breakfast and lunch.


Grindstone Coffee & Donuts

  • 7 Main St, Sag Harbor

In Sag Harbor, Kyle Sanderson’s Grindstone Coffee & Donuts stands out with its unique 48-hour fermentation process, resulting in doughnuts with enhanced flavor complexity. Fried lightly and crafted with quality ingredients, these indulgent treats have captured the hearts of doughnut enthusiasts.


Doughology

  • 45 Atlantic Ave, Lynbrook
  • 80B W Main St, Babylon

Established in 2016 by couple Chris and Jackie Stiansen, Doughology has swiftly become a favorite among gourmet doughnut enthusiasts, thanks to its inventive creations, like its snicker and maple bacon flavors. And don’t forget to try their famed rainbow cookie doughnut.


Glenn Wayne Bakery

  • 1800 Arctic Ave, Bohemia

This bakery outlet pumps out great doughnuts on the Island, and are typically the ones you’ll find in 7 Eleven and beyond. The wholesale bakery sells a variety of baked items, including pastries and cakes. Pro tip: if you go an hour before they close, their bakery items are 50% off. Vice Doughnuts & Coffee 

  • 917B N Broadway, Massapequa

Vice Doughnuts & Coffee, born from the dream of Joe and Gina O’Brien, transitioned from its iconic yellow truck to a permanent location in Massapequa. Known for their freshly baked delights like the cinnamon sugar-coated churro doughnut and vegan options, along with quality Southdown Coffee, they’ve quickly become a local favorite.


Duck Donuts

  • 49 College Plaza, Selden
  •  586 Veterans Memorial Hwy #1b, Hauppauge
  • 2334 Hempstead Tpke, East Meadow
  • 2425 Jericho Turnpike, Garden City Park

The North Carolina chain has quickly made a name for itself on Long Island since the first location opened here in 2018. Duck Donuts makes made-to-order doughnuts and allows customers to pick their toppings.
