Call it a westward expansion. And it’s a big one.
Lucharitos owner Marc LaMaina confirmed that his Tex-Mex restaurant chain will open a seventh location — its first in Nassau County — this summer in Mineola.
Mineola Lucharitos will hold fort on the ground floor of the Morgan Parc residence community, located at 199 2nd St., LaMaina told GreaterLongIsland.com.
“It’s an amazing opportunity with over 4,000 square feet to work with,” he said, noting it will become Lucharitos largest restaurant. “We are designing the space to be convenient for those on the go.”
A walk-up order counter will offer the chain’s classic best sellers, including breakfast items, churros and soft serve ice cream.
LaMaina described the main seating area as “a one-of-a-kind dining room and lounge” that will be perfect for an after-work drink, watching sports and celebrating.
Lucharitos existing locations are in Center Moriches, Melville, Greenport, Mattituck and Riverhead.
