Lululemon is set to open its newest Long Island location at Smith Haven Mall on Friday, May 30.
The athletic apparel retailer announced the opening on Facebook, inviting shoppers to “get ready to sweat in style” with a weekend of free fitness classes and sweet treats.
The Lake Grove store will be the fifth Lululemon location on Long Island, joining existing stores in Huntington Station, Garden City, Manhasset and East Hampton, according to the company’s store locator.
Lululemon, founded in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1998, is known for its technical athletic apparel, footwear, and accessories for yoga, running, training, and other activities.
The company emphasizes innovation in fabrics and functional designs, working with athletes and yogis in local communities for continuous research and product feedback, reads a recent press release.
The new Smith Haven Mall location is part of the mall’s ongoing revitalization efforts, which include a multimillion-dollar renovation featuring a new outdoor plaza, refurbished food court, and new stores like Zara.
