Babylon man, 21, dies in Manorville motorcycle crash

A 21-year-old Babylon man died after his motorcycle slammed into a boulder in Manorville Saturday afternoon.

Daniel Verbeke was riding a 2026 Yamaha on Wading River Road, just south of Maple Lane, when the bike left the roadway and hit a boulder and mailbox at 1:56 p.m., Suffolk Police said.

Verbeke was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead.

Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating the crash. The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check.
