Nassau Police said officers responding to the residence shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday found an unconscious 28-year-old male suffering from a stab wound. A police medic pronounced him dead at the scene.
Detectives later confirmed that an investigation led to the arrest of the 22-year-old woman. No additional details on what charges she faces or the circumstances leading up to the stabbing have been released.
The incident prompted a large police response and an extended investigation scene on Beaumont Avenue, near Merrick Road in a residential area not far from Massapequa High School.
