It’s cold out there but it’s warm in these two winter-themed igloos that have just arrived to Maxwell’s in Islip.
The igloos are set up in the 501 Main Street restaurant’s back courtyard.
Maxwell’s is calling them The Lodge and Gone Ski-Inn.
Each is decked out in winter decor, including twinkling lights, fur blankets, rubs and plush seating for up to eight people, reads an announcement.
“This fun winter trend is a perfect fit at Maxwell’s for people to enjoy the outdoors all winter long, while still staying warm,” said Maxwell’s GM, Jeanann Gilligan. “We’re so excited to kick off the winter season with our new igloos!” (Scroll down for more photos.)
Here’s how it works:
There’s a special Igloo Menu (see below) with warm and holiday-themed cocktails and snacks. The Igloos are available by reservation only, for two hours per booking for a maximum party of 8 for $150.
The cost includes the first round of drinks and an exclusive Maxwell’s server for the two-hour duration.
The igloos are available to reserve during regular business hours at Maxwell’s, and they’ll be available through the winter, not just the holidays.
