Patchogue is getting a rootsy, rock-and-roll night to remember this spring.
Legendary singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge will take the stage at the Patchogue Theatre Gala 2026 on Saturday, April 11, delivering her signature raspy vocals and confessional lyrics to the stage at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts.
Etheridge first stormed onto the American rock scene in 1988 with her self-titled debut album, quickly earning critical acclaim and a win at the 1989 Grammy Awards. She achieved commercial and artistic breakthrough with her fourth album, “Yes I Am” in 1993, which included such hits as “Come to My Window” and “I’m the Only One,” earning her a second Grammy Award.
Over the decades, she has remained one of America’s most beloved rock artists, celebrated for her guitar-driven sound and emotive performances.
Select gala tickets will be made available for Etheridge’s 8 p.m. show, theater officials said. The select tickets, which support Patchogue Theatre’s nonprofit mission, will include pre-show open bar cocktail reception and passed hor dourves and premium orchestra seating.
Beyond her music, Etheridge has been a trailblazer and advocate. She publicly embraced her sexual orientation when it was far less common to do so, and has inspired millions as a breast cancer survivor who returned to the Grammy stage to perform even while undergoing treatment.
In recent years, she launched The Etheridge Foundation to support innovative research into opioid use disorder treatments.
Tickets for her springtime Patchogue show go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. They can be purchased in person at 71 E. Main St. in Patchogue, by phone at 631.207.1313, or online at OvationTix.
