Miniso, one of those places that seems to sell all the things you didn’t know you needed, is coming to Long Island.
The trendy and affordable lifestyle store is one of three new pop-up stores opening at Tanger Outlets Riverhead, in time for the holiday shopping season.
Miniso’s curated selection of items spans from chic stationery and clever gadgets to adorable plush toys and sleek home decor. The inventory pleads with customers to add color, functionality to their daily routines.
Miniso is the kind of store that you pop in for a phone charger, and end up leaving with an irresistibly soft animal plush toy, a set of precision cooking utensils, and a whimsical desk organizer you hadn’t realized was necessary to make your life complete.
The Miniso pop-up, located near the Food Court in a 2,900-square-foot space, is scheduled to open this fall.
Along with Miniso, Tanger Outlets Riverhead is now home to the affordable men’s formal wear retailer, Karako Suits, and Amsterdam-based fashion brand, Scotch & Soda. Karako Suits is open in a 4,000-square-foot pop-up location near Saks OFF 5th, while Scotch & Soda will open its 2,500-square-foot pop-up store at Tanger later this month.
Miniso operates five stores in New York City, including one in Flushing and its U.S. flagship location in Times Square. The fast-growing brand has more than 200 stores across 20 states, including a huge store in New Jersey’s American Dream Mall.
Already operating more than 7,000 stores across the world, Miniso over the next five years plans to open 900-1,100 new stores each year. This, after opening its first store 11 years ago.
Miniso’s rapid growth has been bolstered by its collaborations with such world-famous brands as Coca Cola, Barbie, Marvel, Hello Kitty, Sesame Street, Mickey and Minnie, and Pink Panther.
