Mito Asian Fusion announces opening date for Babylon Village location

|

The next chapter for the old Bank of Babylon building in Babylon Village begins next month.

Mito Asian Fusion announced that its soft opening will take place on Dec. 8 at 48 Deer Park Avenue, the space that last housed Monsoon: Steak & Sushi.

Monsoon, a 250-plus-seat restaurant, was launched in 2012 by the Bohlsen Restaurant Group, but it closed three years ago during the pandemic. The Bohlsen Group still operates restaurants across Long Island, including Tellers in Islip, Prime in Huntington, and H20 in Smithtown, among others.

This will be the second Mito on Long Island. The company opened its first on the island earlier this year at the Smith Haven Mall. Mito also operates two locations in Queens (Bayside and Forest Hills) and one in Yonkers.

As its name suggests, Mito will offer a variety of Asian dishes. The menu consists of traditional Japanese cuisine, such as sushi and sashimi, as well as hibachi and more. Click here to see the full menu.
