Built from the ground up, Long Island’s newest Moe’s Southwest Grill location opens Thursday, Sept. 28, at 713-761 Sunrise Highway in West Babylon.
That’s now good for 17 Moe’s Tex-Mex spots on the island, from Valley Stream to Riverhead.
The new Moe’s was built upon a long-vacant lot just went of a Lidl, which used to be Waldbaum’s, along the south side of Sunrise. To mark the occasion, two days of deals and festivities are in the works.

The grand opening kicks off at 11 a.m. on Sept. 28 and runs until closing time at 10 p.m. with $6.99 burritos or bowls.
There’s a family fun day planned for Saturday, Sept. 30, for a day Moe’s promises will be “packed with excitement and entertainment,” according to an announcement.
The day will include games and activities for children, along with a meet and great with local first responders, prizes, surprises and giveaways for kids and adults.
