The highly anticipated summer comedy “No Hard Feelings,” a movie filmed on Long Island featuring A-lister Jennifer Lawrence, is set to hit the big screen this week.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of Montauk, “No Hard Feelings” follows the story of Jennifer Lawrence’s character, who responds to a Craigslist ad seeking a companion for a young man about to embark on his college journey.
The R-rated movie, which is filled with provocative jokes, premieres nationwide Friday, June 23.
Directed and co-written by the talented Gene Stupnitsky (“The Office,” “Jury Duty,” and “Good Boys”), the film boasts an impressive ensemble cast that also includes Matthew Broderick, Hasan Minhaj, Laura Benanti, and Kyle Mooney.
While set in Montauk, the filming locations traverse the island, with even Greenfield Cemetery in Uniondale making a cameo appearance. According to a report by Newsday, Ted’s Fishing Station in Point Lookout underwent a transformation to become “Montauk Dock East” for the movie.
The movie trailer dropped back in March. Eagle-eyed Long Islanders will spot the familiar locales and even a Suffolk County Police vehicle. The trailer has over 16 million views on YouTube. Watch it below.
