Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman who was found on a boat docked off Star Island Road in Montauk early Tuesday morning, police said.
Suffolk County police were notified of the discovery about 4 a.m. The woman’s body was located aboard a vessel docked at the Montauk Yacht Club, said a club manager.
“It’s an ongoing investigation,” the yacht club employee, who only identified himself as a manager and declined to give his name, told Greater Long Island. “We’re being kept out of the loop for now.”
The cause and manner of the woman’s death have not yet been determined, police said.
