The Town of Brookhaven will be offering a senior nutrition program at the newly established Moriches Bay Recreation Center starting April 2.
The program provides seniors with a nutritious lunch and the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities.
The nutrition program at the Moriches Bay Recreation Center, located at 313 Frowein Road in Center Moriches, will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Transportation to the program will be provided, upon availability, to residents living in Moriches, Center Moriches, East Moriches, Manorville and residents living in the Brookhaven Town portion of Eastport.
The Town currently operates two senior nutrition programs , including the Bay Area Nutrition Center, located within the Mastic Recreation Center at 15 Herkimer St. in Mastic. For more information about this program, please call 631-281-7679. Both programs are open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Town of Brookhaven Nutrition Program funding is provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Suffolk County Office for the Aging, through the New York State Office for the Aging. A voluntary $2.00 contribution is suggested for lunch.
