Great Neck Plaza is Nassau County’s Best Place to Live in 2024, according to rankings newly released by Niche.
The geographically tiny village is one of four Great Neck peninsula communities that landed in the top 10 of Nassau’s Best Places to Live. Last year’s top-ranked community Great Neck Gardens is No. 2, while Kensington is No. 3 and Russell Gardens is No. 7.
Measuring about a third of a square mile, Great Neck Plaza features prestigious schools; luxurious homes; and a vibrant social scene with two four-star hotels and scores of stores, restaurants and coffee shops.
The village — also ranked No. 1 in New York state — earned an A+ overall grade in Niche’s report, scoring particularly high in the categories, Public Schools, Nightlife, Good for Families, Health & Fitness and Outdoor Activities.
