Nesconset man collects $1K a week for life via New Year’s Eve drawing

Nesconset’s Roshane Davis kicked off the new year by matching the first five numbers in the New Year’s Eve Cash4Life drawing.

And this week, Davis cashed in — collecting a a seven-figure payout after claiming a $1,000 a Week for Life second prize from the New York Lottery.

The minimum payout on Davis’ prize is $1 million. Davis chose to receive the cash value of the annuity prize, resulting in a one-time lump sum payment of $648,102 after required withholdings.

The winning numbers for the New Year’s Eve drawing were 07, 10, 21, 35 and 49, with Powerball 01.

The winning ticket was sold at Players Café, located at 241 Bleeker St. in Manhattan.
