The next wave of chiefs for the Babylon Fire Department were sworn into office during Tuesday night’s Babylon Village board of trustees meeting.

Babylon Village Mayor Ralph Scordino took to the mic to announce the department’s new leadership.

They include chief Michael Golub, first assistant chief Joseph Fraccalvieri, second assistant chief Matt Arundale, and third assistant chief James Miga.

“Congratulations, guys,” said the mayor, as packed boardroom began clapping.

“The last six years have been an enjoyable ride, and I look forward to the next two years to lead,” said Golub. “It is an amazing group of men, we have guys from every walk of life.”

Aside from the fire department, Golub works in the healthcare field; Fraccaliveri is in operations and plant management at Suffolk County Community College Brentwood; Arundale and Miga both work for the MTA’s Long Island Rail Road.
