High-end woman’s fashions with affordable price tags is what you’ll find at Babylon Village’s newest boutique shop.
Lindenhurst native Marci Mixon opened High End Hippie last month at 116 West Main Street by
Mixon, a fashion merchandising graduate from FIT, has been in the clothing industry for over 20 years.
After college, Mixon took a job as a lingerie designer for Victoria’s Secret. And in 1999, she decided to open up her own shop in Stony Brook Village called Wish.
In Wish, located at 141 Main Street, she introduced her own clothing line, High End Hippie.
“I thought it was really cute,” she said. “So I started to put it on T-shirts.”
It’s also now the namesake for the Babylon location, as well as another boutique at 9 Moniebogue Lane in Westhampton Beach.
“It is easy woman’s clothing, not expensive but still stylish,” she said. “It is all about good quality with me.”
High End Hippie is open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. Scroll down to see photos of the store and its merchandise.
