There’s a new spot in Babylon to satisfy your summer cravings — and it’s serving up all the classics.
Just in time for the warm weather, a brand-new quick-serve restaurant offering burgers, hot dogs, shakes, and ice cream is now open next door to The Delica Sea. The restaurant, called Lusi’s Burgers, Fries, Dogs & Shakes, held its ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 12 at 504 Fire Island Ave.
“It’s my dream to be able to make good food at a more affordable price and with higher quality ingredients than fast casual restaurants,” said Lusidania Paulino, owner of both The Delica Sea and the new eatery.
Local families, community leaders, and even a few local officials gathered for the grand opening, eager to get the first taste of what could quickly become a Babylon staple.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Lusi took over The Delica Sea almost exactly a year ago. Since then, expanding food options for the community has been top of mind.
“I’ve been wanting to expand the food options at The Delica Sea ever since I took over the business,” Paulino said. “Opening up a burger place felt like the best way to accomplish that.”
And not just any burger place.
For Lusi, the goal was to create a quick, approachable spot that delivers better ingredients without the higher price tag. “I really feel the burger is the staple of American cuisine, and every family deserves easy access to good burgers,” she said.
IF YOU GO

Lusi’s is serving up American comfort food done right. Think juicy burgers, snappy hot dogs, creamy shakes, and cool scoops of ice cream, all made with care and quality ingredients.
The vibe? Fun, fast, and family-friendly. There’s ample parking, quick service, and plenty of space to bring the kids or swing by after a beach day.
While the menu keeps it classic, the focus is all in the flavor — a little more elevated than your average fast food, without the wait or the cost.
It’s open now, right next to The Delica Sea in Babylon.
As Paulino put it: “We’re so excited to open up as it gets warmer and have an opportunity to be a local community mainstay for kids and adults alike this summer!”
