New wine bar days away from opening in Port Jefferson

|

The opening of a new casual wine bar in Port Jefferson is right around the corner.

Lisa Harris, the mind behind Torte Jeff Pie Company, East Main & Main donuts, and Prohibition Port Jefferson, is opening BYOG Wine Bar at 250 East Main Street, inside the former East Main & Main location. (For those looking for East Main & Main signature donuts, they are now being sold at Torte Jeff at 218 East Main Street.)

Harris is aiming to open the “bring your own glass” concept in her old donut shop on July 2, according to a recent Facebook post.

“Expect 20 carefully curated, incredible wines that you can purchase by taste, 3 oz. or 6 oz. pours,” the post reads. “Bottles, bottomless mimosas, and sparking rosé will also be available. Our craft beer has been carefully selected to appeal to a variety of beer drinkers.”

The menu for the wine bar was revealed in the post, which includes a variety of locally-made small plates, such as charcuterie boxes, fondue boxes, donut fondue boxes, and desserts like chocolate mousse and creme brûlée.

The storefront’s interior underwent a transformation into a “more intimate gathering space,” Harris previously told greaterportjeff.com.
