New York’s long wait for its first Topgolf is over.
On Monday the three-story facility held a ribbon-cutting celebration in Holtsville, according to a Facebook post by Brookhaven Town Councilman Kevin LaValle.
“Topgolf is an internationally renowned golf and entertainment venue that has locations all around the world,” he wrote. “Today, we welcome them to their first location in New York State. Topgolf invested over $40 million to develop this site and will have over 600 employees.”
As previously reported, construction for the building started in January at 5231 Expressway Drive, right off Exit 62 on the Long Island Expressway.
The entertainment venue is a tech-driven place with play-through point-scoring games in 102 bays, a seasonal chef-driven menu, top-shelf drinks, live music and year-round programming for all ages in a climate-controlled outdoor space. The new location will also be available to host private events and celebrations.
According to Topgolf’s Facebook account, the venue’s hours will be Sunday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to midnight, and Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.
