New York’s first Topgolf opening for golf and grub this summer in Holtsville

|

Long Islanders can expect to tee off at New York’s first Topgolf location in Holtsville this summer.

A Topgolf press release regarding the project describes it as “a tech-driven place” with play-through point-scoring games in 102 bays, a seasonal chef-driven menu, top-shelf drinks, live music and year-round programming for all ages in a climate-controlled outdoor space. The new location will also be available to host private events and celebrations.

Construction on the three-story facility began this past January at 5231 Expressway Drive, right off Exit 62 on the Long Island Expressway. While there is no opening date set yet, a spokesperson for Topgolf said the company anticipates the Holtsville location will launch in the coming weeks or months.

A press release noted the new entertainment venue will bring approximately 500 jobs to the area. The forthcoming location is looking to hire, according to a Topgolf Holtsville Facebook post earlier this month. The company’s webpage lists openings for positions ranging from cooks and servers to office and maintenance workers.

There is no menu currently listed for the upcoming venue, but if the menus for Topgolf’s New Jersey locations in Edison and Mount Laurel are any indication, Long Islanders can expect hamburgers, sandwiches, appetizers, hand-crafted cocktails and beers from local breweries.

The venue will welcome golfers of all disciplines and offer year-round golf lessons through packages specially designed for each player’s age and skill level.

Topgolf Entertainment Group, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is a globally recognized sports company. Since its first location opened in Watford in the United Kingdom in 2000, the company has made footprints in the United States, Australia, Mexico and Dubai.

“Topgolf’s mission centers around building and connecting communities and we have been working very hard with the Suffolk County community to design a custom venue that fits their needs including added vegetation, updated fencing and more,” said Dolf Berle, Topgolf’s chief executive officer, in the release.

“We’re looking forward to not only entertaining Guests here, but also being a good neighbor to the community through volunteer projects, fundraising efforts and other events geared toward giving back to local organizations. We truly can’t wait to open our first venue here in the state of New York.”
