Nominate your favorite barkeep for 2024’s Bartender Battle Long Island

|

Update: The nomination component of this contest has ended. Thank you to all who nominated.

Everyone claims their favorite bartender is the best.

But they can’t all be the best.

That’s why in 2023 Greater LI launched its first-ever Bartender Battle Long Island, pitting the most popular bartenders from across Nassau and Suffolk counties against one another.

Now we’re at it again for 2024.

Scroll down to nominate your favorite Long Island bartender.

Dan Bartley of Mary Caroll’s (winner, 2023)

The chosen candidates will be announced in early March. From there, be on the lookout through the website and our social media accounts on how to cast your vote in head-to-head matchups, March Madness style.

The field will be narrowed to a Final Two who will square off in a cocktail contest at a yet-to-be-determined location somewhere on the island, with three experienced judges doing the sipping.

The winner will hoist The Golden Shaker, which 2023 celebrity judge Gregg “Gio” Giannotti of WFAN described as “the Lombardi trophy of bartenders on Long Island.”

Note: Last year’s contest winner, Dan Bartley of Mary Caroll’s in Babylon, can’t compete, as per our contest rules — so don’t bother nominating him in the form below. However, Dan will be invited to judge the finals. Scroll down for a full video recap from last year’s finals.
