Here’s the opportunity to recognize the efforts of one of those very many women who work tirelessly, either in business or to improve our communities.
New York State Senator Kenneth LaValle is seeking nominations for this year’s “Woman of Distinction” award.
The honor will be presented to a deserving woman who lives in the senator’s district, which covers the greater Port Jefferson area and beyond.
“Once a year, this program provides us with a special opportunity to honor extraordinary women for their achievements,” said LaValle.
“I look forward to reviewing the accomplishments of all of the nominees.”
Some of the previous winners include women who have been successful in their respective career paths, as well as those who have performed heroic or selfless acts.
This year’s ceremony, which will be held on May 1 in Albany, will mark the 20th consecutive year of the award.
