Nordstrom Rack, the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, has announced a fifth store is in the works for Long Island, this time in Lake Grove at Smith Haven Plaza, also the home of a Trader Joe’s.
The news comes just months after the company revealed a Holbrook location is being planned.
Lake Grove is expected to open this fall at Smith Haven Plaza. The 25,000-square-foot store will fill a portion of the old Bed Bath & Beyond building, according to Long Island Business News.
“We look forward to being a part of the Lake Grove community and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices,” said Gemma Lionello, president of Nordstrom Rack.
“We’re excited to grow our footprint in the New York market and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience.”
The Seattle-based retailer Nordstrom, Inc., currently operates five Nordstrom stores and 10 Nordstrom Rack stores in New York state, with its Long Island locations for Nordstrom Rack being in Garden City, Manhasset and Bay Shore, which opened last summer at Gardiner Manor Mall.
It’s one actual Nordstrom store is located at Roosevelt Field.
