The second snowfall of the week is expected to produce between 1-2 inches of accumulation, the National Weather Service is now reporting.
The NWS forecast predicts light snow to continue drop until about 7 p.m., with slippery conditions expected for the drive home commute. “Some areas could briefly see the snow come down heavier,” the NWS wrote on X.

According to estimates, it appears there will be less accumulations than Tuesday’s storm, which saw some areas on Long Island seeing around 3 inches of snow.
Heading into tonight, expect the temperatures to drop to about 17 degrees, with wind chill bringing the values between 5 and 10 degrees.
