NY’s only Walmart Neighborhood Market celebrates remodel in Levittown

|

The only Walmart Neighborhood Market in New York is ready for its closeup after a remodel in Levittown.

For the uninitiated, the brand’s neighborhood markets are similar to supermarkets, “with the product variety and competitive pricing that Walmart is known for,” an announcement reads.

The big celebration, the grand reopening, happens at the 3335 Hempstead Turnpike Walmart at 8 a.m. Friday.

“At Walmart, we are committed to enhancing our customers’ shopping experience, and we are excited to unveil this newly updated Walmart Neighborhood Market,” said Dwyne Batin, the store’s manager. “From expanded aisles to a larger deli with full-service hot bar, these upgrades ensure we continue to meet the needs of our Levittown community.

“A special thank you to our dedicated associates for their efforts in bringing this transformation to life.”

Visitors to the new Walmart store can expect interior upgrades throughout, including fresh lighting, an enhanced deli and hot bar, expanded aisles and pharmacy improvements, the announcement reads.

Shoppers to Walmart Neighborhood Markets can find fresh produce, meat and dairy products, bakery and deli items, as well as pantry staples.

The store on Friday will also reveal a new mural paying homage to Levittown’s post WWII history.
