Orangetheory Fitness is set to open its 15th fitness studio on Long Island, inside the Wading River Commons shopping plaza on Route 25A.
Signage on site indicates that the gym will open soon. In the mean time, a sales office has been set up in the shopping center to pre-register clients.
For the uninitiated, Orangetheory is an increasingly popular franchise fitness studio that offers group personal training classes. Clients experience one-hour, full body heart rate zone and strength training workouts that provide personalized experiences in a group setting.
Orangetheory says their classes combine science, coaching and technology to help members burn calories up to 36 hours post-exercise.
The studio offers an unlimited monthly package for $159 and eight classes per month rate of $119.
Founded in 2010 by Ellen Latham, Orangetheory has grown rapidly, now boasting over 1,200 studios worldwide
The Wading River location at 6279 Route 25A will be the chain’s furthest venture east on Long Island. Orangetheory also operates nearby studios on the North Shore in Rocky Point, Port Jefferson Station and Stony Brook.
In all, Orangetheory will now have 13 studios in Suffolk and two in Nassau.
