A new gym has officially begun operations at Westfield Mall in Bay Shore.
As previously reported, Orangetheory has been in the works near the Macy’s south entrance, but recently opened its doors this month.
The new 3,550-square-foot studio, which is equipped with 16 treadmills, water rowers and weight room stations, is hosting a grand opening ceremony Sunday, Dec. 29 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
For the uninitiated, Orangetheory is a widely popular franchise fitness studio that offers group personal training classes. In addition to Bay Shore, are also nearby locations in Sayville and West Babylon.
“Orangetheory attracts people from all different demographics and fitness levels,” said Dana Ragolia, general manager at Orangetheory Fitness Bay Shore. “You go completely at your own pace and one of our six instructors is there to help lead you through the workout.”
As a promotion, Orangtheory is running a Transformation Challenge from Jan. 20 to March, encouraging people to shed weight for cash prizes. To learn more about the eight-week contest as well as the new gym, call 631-954-2969.
