Nearly 30 years ago, Adam Sandler’s “Happy Gilmore “gave us one of the most infamous golf fights in comedy history — when Happy physically assaulted his caddy.
That caddy was Jared Van Snellenberg.
Today, Dr. Van Snellenberg is an assistant professor of psychiatry at Stony Brook University, where he leads a lab researching cognitive deficits in patients with schizophrenia.
With the release of the new “Happy Gilmore” sequel (now available on Netflix), Greater Long Island chatted with the professor to get his thoughts on the flick — and on PGA pro Will Zalatoris, who plays him in the movie. Watch the interview below.
