OTB betting and viewing comes to the Penny Pub in Bay Shore

|

Now you can literally pony up to the bar at The Penny Pub in Bay Shore.

The Main Street mainstay has become an official Off Track Betting betting and viewing location, the owners have announced.

Racing fans can bet on over 10 different tracks every day, with racing forms provided free of charge daily starting when the Penny Pub opens at noon for lunch and dinner.

“We are planning some great events for the Triple Crown series …,” said Penny Pub co-owner Mike McElwee.

There’s even a Triple Crown specialty menu that started May 1.

“We’ll have food and drink specials running right through the Belmont Stakes on June 9,” McElwee said.

According to the Suffolk OTB website, The Penny Pub, located at 79 West Main Street, is the only Off Track Betting location in downtown Bay Shore, though you can also play horses at The Jon Thomas Inne in Brightwaters. Click here for a full list of locations.
