The rides, games and food are back in West Islip this September as the Our Lady of Lourdes Italian Family Feast takes over the parish grounds for five days.
The event, held at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church at 455 Hunter Ave., runs from Wednesday, Sept. 10, through Sunday, Sept. 14.
Organizers say the festival will feature thrill rides like Pharaoh’s Fury and Rock Star, classics such as the Super Slide, family games, and plenty of food.
Think sausage and peppers.
Games of chance, including blackjack, the dollar wheel and roulette, will also be on hand.
“It will be five fun days in West Islip, and all for a good cause,” said Mike Newton, owner of Newton Shows.
Deacon Rich Maher, co-chair of the event, added that more than 60 parish volunteers help make the feast possible each year. “It’s always been about family, and this event always brings the community together,” he said.
Proceeds support Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, benefitting programs and services throughout the community.
