Over 1,000 volunteers decorate Babylon Village for the holidays

|

The transformation into a Winter Wonderland is complete.

Volunteers used tree roping, lights, and red bows to adorn over 500 lampposts in Babylon Village on Sunday.

The Babylon Beautification Society, which runs the yearly event, supplies all of the village’s volunteers with the supplies.

Over 1,000 people donated their time this year, says Frank Petruzzo, the Babylon Beautification Society’s president.

“This event marks the start of the holiday season in Babylon Village and is an annual tradition for so many families,” said Petruzzo. “We are so proud to sponsor this wonderful event where members of our community make lasting memories while sharing their holiday spirit.”
