Patchogue’s Alive After Five festival postponed due to incoming storm

|

Tropical Storm Debby‘s passage through Long Island this week prompted the organizers of Alive After Five to postpone Thursday’s festival.

The Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce, the group that runs the immensely popular street festival in Patchogue, made the call this morning.

The event is now rescheduled for Thursday, Aug. 15, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. along Main Street.

“We look forward to seeing everyone in downtown Patchogue NEXT week on August 15,” the chamber announced on Facebook.

This will be the last Alive After Five of the summer. Everything planned for this week’s festival will happen next, the chamber confirmed in an email to Greater Long Island. Tap here for a full guide to the festival.

Alive After Five isn’t the only outdoor event canceled this week. Riverhead’s Alive on 25, organized by the Riverhead Business Improvement District Management Association, has rescheduled its festival to Aug. 23.
